  1. Love this video!.. should never watch anything of Colin while drinking…anything… my poor laptop XD!

  2. haha "families around the world are counting on YOU" reminds me of the three headed broadway star about the legwarmers

  3. Its so sad that he would lend his talent to further a bunch of bible thumping morons. You people need to remember that two hands working do more then ten thousand clasped in prayer.

  4. @alianchild Two hands working do more to create weapons to fight each other with. Ten thousand with their hands clasped together in prayer, pray for that to stop.

    Peace over power my friend.

Let the quiet church goers do what they do, and you go do what you do. No need to say one way or the other is "sad". He would not have done it if he did not want too.

  5. @alianchild After taking a gander at your profile. All the quotes of "There is no God" Taken from the bible, you did not add the proper context they were originally in. Thus you are twisting the words of the bible to mean something that you want it to be. You are the one twisting. Not anyone else. Now, be a good 39 year old with some hint of intellect and withdrawl from the religous talk, and let this be about the great Colin Mochrie. Agree?

Two hands typed facts about you. Powerful stuff.

  6. @alianchild Oh, I like your quote.

"So if you don't like it you can fuck off."

Seems you don't like to have opposing views. you think you are right.

"The moment you think you have it figured, you're wrong."

I like my quote over yours. You see, my quote allows me to keep expanding my own personal knowledge. Where as yours, makes your brain set in stone. Unable to learn anything you dont want to learn, or rethink what you think you know. Its a nifty observation don't you think?

  7. @alianchild Now, I think one thing we can agree on, is that Colin Mochrie is a great comedian. Don't you think? So we have common ground yeah? Lets ride with that instead.

  8. @Shreddfase My quote is about finding something of interest for me. If you don't find it interesting I couldn't give two shits. So please do not confuse me with those that adhere to the dogmatism of religion.

  9. @Shreddfase Twisting the bible to say things it doesn't??? You mean like what religion does? And I must ask, do you really think that prayer actually helps?

  10. @Shreddfase Colin Mochrie is a great comedian, yes. And he is trying to help. What would really help is to use the money that charity wastes on bibles and preachers teaching dogma to teach them useful things and bring food instead of bibles.

  11. @alianchild What you find of interest implies what I ment here. Which means what you find of interest, implies there is no God, By implying that there is no God, you are twisting a 3 word sentence to mean there is no God by removing it from context.

My I inquire what the Bible has twisted? We all know the excuse of constant translations, over the course of time, are there any other reasons?

  12. @alianchild Does prayer work? I do not feel obligated to answer. I will remain between the argument and just propose view points. I hope you do not mind.

Anything of fact here is that, a bible thumping moron is someone who has or currently reads the bible in some way shape or from that is stupid. In order for you to have gotten your quotes, you had to thump through a bible yourself. What you find of interest, would seem stupid to others. Would that not make you a bible thumping moron?

  13. @alianchild I know of local churches in my area that have sent people out to Haiti to help with restoring houses and aiding in food and medical support. So if your idea of religion is to be self absorbing in the bible and not with what is around you, then your thoughts are indeed twisted. So yesterdays posts of mine, were not entirely inaccurate.

Yes Colin is a great comedian, and I think its great that he reaches out to help where he can, and that he does what he likes.

  14. @Shreddfase Yes they go to help them and to tell them that they are worthless sinners who will go to hell if they do not join that particular cult.

  15. @Shreddfase The bible twists minds, its people who twist the bible to fit their own morals and standards. If you dont like gays then you can find passages that say they should be put to death. Like to beat your children, you can find passages that not only condone it but order it. Want slaves, the bible condones it. Thats not to say there are not good things in it, but the bad and the mistakes seem to out weigh the good by quite a bit.

  16. @alianchild What passages are these all from? Do you get all your info from other youtube videos and what people tell you or do you actually read the verses? Tell me these verses. I would love to see how you are misinterpreting it.

As for churches that go out and help. Not all churches go out to say they are all sinners and will go to hell if they dont convert. You do realize anyone of faith that condems someone is in the wrong. God is the only judge of heaven and hell. They are not God.

  18. @alianchild I think many people, especially athiests find it quite easy to just take things so literally from the bible. Instead of brining things to modern context, or taking the verses figuratively instead of literally. Athiests also find it very easy to play off the human flaw of being human and their imperfection to say the bible was translated incorrectly over the years. You know what? That is true. However it takes people of intellect to understand it, and read between these flaws.

  19. @alianchild Take into concideration that not everything said in the bible is ment to be taken literally. Some are figurative as well as some thing should be brought to a more modern context. Another thing to take into concideration that it is easy to find the flaws due to translation. Yes, translations have been incorrect over the years and it takes people with intellect to understand it and read between the lines/flaws these translations have given.

  21. @alianchild Its the athiests that understand the bible that have the intellect to have made the choice to be athiest. The ones that do not understand it, are athiest because they do not understand it.

Fun fact: American Standard, International Standard, and English Standard Bibles have missing verses. The King James Version have all verses in tact. King James is the closest english translation you can get to the original greek and hebrew bible.

  22. @Shreddfase Tell me the sure fire way to tell what is a mistranslation and what is not to be taken literally. Because if it is the word of a god you would think it would be correct, no matter who translated it. Also, could you please tell me the correct context to take the law in which to take the law for a raped woman to be forced to marry her rapist? Or the conditions for you to sell your daughter into slavery? Or the death penalty for planting two different crops side by side in a field?

  23. @Shreddfase A recent study showed that atheists knew the bible better than most christians. How exactly do you explain that?

  24. @alianchild Know the words or know everything about it? If you want proper translation. Learn Hebrew, and learn Greek. Then compare the content from the source with the translations. You must understand the book went through times of gender and sex bias. Who is to say a fellow imperfect being(human) did not twist the words in the translation to fit himself better.

If atheists know the bible better, than atheists learn Hebrew and Greek. Which I doubt all from the recent study have learned.

  25. @alianchild I do recall asking for bible verses. You have not thumped through a bible to give me the verses in which deals with slavery, and selling daughters. It would also help if you name the version book you are getting these verses out of.

A good question for you. Do you deny that humans are imperfect? Rephrased: Do you believe humans are perfect creatures?

  26. @Shreddfase Nice. Just pretend that I never asked the question of how to tell what is to be taken literally and what is not, and how to tell what so called context to use. I use the KJ by the way. Even though it also has been changed in order to make it more appealing. I do have many other versions. All are quite enlightening to a thinking person, just not in the way the writers hoped. And no, you did not ask for verses. However I will provide you with some if you would like.

  27. @alianchild I inquired passages(verses) from a previous post. I have not forgotten your question but to answer it, I'd need to break the entire bible down for you. I'll give you a notable book where things have more figurative meanings than literal. That book would be Revelations. 7 headed beast, beast that sounds of a thousand locusts(or hornets), Beast that breaths fire, etc etc. A lot in Revelations is figurative. They explain something in the future using words of their time.

  28. @alianchild Since no one is perfect, then the translations are not perfect. Who is to say the Holy Book has not been altered to a bias view point due to a flawed human's doing so? Seems like a nice way to stir contraversy in the modern world like it has now. Which is why it takes the extra steps to read between the flaws of the good book, and also learn what is to be taken literally, figuratively, and what what should be brought to modern context.

  29. @Shreddfase I suggest you look over your comments, you never asked for verses or quotes. But I will oblige.

I've got lots more.

  31. @Shreddfase If inspired by god, and being the word of god, why would it be subject to flaws? Is god not able to correct them? Does he not care whether they are correct? You would think that a GOD who wants us to believe in him and love him would be able to do just such a thing. But alas, he fails at this also, or perhaps he never existed at all.Logic favours the latter.

  32. @alianchild So it is quite obvious that I had asked before asking and pressing to get quotes from you. I see a lack of detailed research on your part to be able to go back and see I had previously asked for it. Thank you for the effort, but I went ahead and did it myself.

"Want a job done right, do it yourself."

  33. @alianchild At least it furthers your point on imperfection? Glad to see it put to use.

As for the quotes, if you dont mind, I am having a hard enough time with an error message trying to post this, I will need to see what the issue is, if it is even on my end so i can post fluently. There is a lot say, and struggling with trying to send messages, will keep me on this youtube link for a long time. I do hope you can understand.

I will be trying to get back to you tomorrow. Till then Take care

  34. @Shreddfase If you checked over your comments you will see that you had not asked for quotes until you claim to have already asked for them. Please do not lie, its unbecoming. And a sin I do believe. As for the reference #'s for the quotes, I figured someone with your claimed knowledge of the bible would have no problem finding them, and do you have any idea how many posts I would have taken up if I had actually given you word for word?! The full list of bible problems is more than 300 pages.

  35. @Shreddfase Dont worry about the error msgs. It does that sometimes. I guess that at least one thing we have in common, extreme annoyance for error msgs. It did it to me today also.

  36. @alianchild I am sorry. Page 3 is where I asked for it. I started pressing to ask it on page 2. I have not lied. Please look more carefully. You'll find I am absolutely in the right. The proof is there. Do not make me get other people coming here to view this youtube video to do your own research. Do you have a degree for college? If you do, that proves you have the capability to be able to do the research. I have not inserted my actual religious views.

Yes the error message is very annoying.

  37. @Shreddfase I do so very much apologise. I mean that completely. I must have scanned over it and missed it. It was not an outright and overt "Please quote the verses to which you are referring" I am used to people going very hard-line in their questioning. I know how much it infuriates me when people mistakenly accuse me of deliberate misdirection or stating a falsehood. Even when its an honesty mistake I still want to slap them across the face with a salmon. And yes, crim.child, abnr, psych.

  38. @alianchild Ah, Apology accepted. Stuff happens. Its common that people get so into the debate at hand, they want to find out what they can for the upper hand in it.

Anyways, like I said, tomorrow I'll shoot the reply for the quotes you gave me. Hopefully Im not pressing the send button then 500 times (overexeduration) to send one post lol..

  39. @pfive We went to Private Message and continued a civil discussion but we ended up stopping due to real life commitments we both had. I have not heard from him since.

  40. When I saw this, I thought of Jeff Davis acting like a tv evangelist on Whose Line Is It Anyway because of the chicken.
